The Hunter Valley is only about 2 hours drive north north west from Sydney and Port Stephens is due east from the Valley, hence a wonderful golfer and/or wine buff loop return to Sydney.

Hunter Valley Wine Country is Australia's oldest wine producing area. Here are some of Australia's most famous wineries sprouting throughout the backroads of the beautiful hills near Cessnock. You can take a horse-drawn carriage, soar in a hot balloon or leisurely cycle through beautiful and peaceful countryside. The guest houses and restaurants match the excellence of the wines.

Port Stephens is acknowledged as the most popular and spectacular holiday resort on the east coast. With pearly white beaches, crystal clear water and its natural bushland, the shores abound in native flora and fauna. Its most famous residents are the families of dolphins who follow the cruise boats in the port and the koalas in the wild at the Tiigerry Habitat.
